Sprite Candy is a powerful all-in-one solution that has been especially designed to assist the creation of console-style high performance 2D games.
Sprite Candy includes many pre-defined and simple-to-use effects that can be applied to any object: automated alpha fading, zooming, scaling, rotating, smooth color change, tricky movements and many, many more.
Sprite Candy animations support more than 15 different motion easing techniques to achieve true arcade-style and natural looking movement , scaling or rotation.
Sprite Candy can handle animation tasks automatically ("set and forget"), so you can save lots of time and focus on the essentials of your game. Sprite Candy now also includes a GUI extension to create lightning fast, accelerated windows and gadgets that can be used to build a game menu within seconds. The GUI extension is very easy to use and will keep your code as clean as possible. It's main features are:
Full hardware acceleration
Fastest GUI available (using 3D-acceleration, single-surface and smart redraw techniques)
No constant redrawing neccessary (unlike a common 2D GUI)

ALL Sprite Candy FX-effects and image commands can be used with any window

Sprite Candy includes Font Candy Studio, a full-featured, powerful bitmap font editor to create awesome bitmap fonts in no time.
Font Candy Studio is an easy-to-use, but flexible and powerful bitmap font editor to create aweful bitmap fonts within minutes! Font Candy Studio has been especially designed to work with the Sprite Candy FX Engine, but can also be used as a stand-alone editor that exports to many image and data formats. Font Candy Studio offers many font effects, full export control and powerful post-processing filters.

INCLUDES: IMAGE PACKER TOOL
|
Sprite Candy package also contains a powerful image packing tool to easily place your seperate image files together on a texture. The image packer loads many image formats (also GIFs, for example) and export textures into many formats, too. When exporting a texture, the tool automatically generates the Sprite Candy code to load these images.
You can set a custom masking color and be able to check the proper transparency of all images at any time. While placing the images on the texture, you can still edit them with your paint program and reload/refresh them with a single button click at any time. You can save a project to continue your work at a later time, too.
This image packer is already included with the Sprite Candy package.

INCLUDES: SHAPE EDITOR
|
This easy-to-use shape editor allows you to create collision shapes for your images. The saved shape data files can be loaded into Sprite Candy at any time. Since the shape data is saved in simple text format, you can even edit such a file manually, when needed.
